About Imogen Gough
Imogen Gough was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. At the age of 19 she moved to Montreal where she graduated from Concordia University and began her career as a freelance translator.

As a young mother of four, in 1997, she began writing a weekly column for local newspapers called "Reality Check", on family life with a quirky twist. In summer 2006, Imogen was diagnosed with two types of breast cancer and underwent three surgeries followed by extensive chemotherapy. Throughout this journey she became a familiar figure in the Montreal area as a weekly guest on the Andrew Carter show on CJAD AM radio. She continues today to share her cancer and post-cancer experiences on the airwaves.
